Step-by-step working

    How it works

    Never fall short of 75% again

    Three numbers are all you need. The calculator does the maths and tells you exactly what to do next.

    Enter classes held

    The total number of periods or working days counted so far.

    Enter classes attended

    How many of those you were present for.

    Pick the requirement

    75% is the CBSE board-exam rule; many colleges use 75% or 80%.

    Follow the plan

    See classes needed to recover, or how many you can safely miss.

    Attendance formula

    Attendance % = (Attended ÷ Held) × 100

    Example: 84 classes attended out of 120 → 84 ÷ 120 × 100 = 70%.

    Classes needed to reach the target

    x = (p × H − A) ÷ (1 − p)

    Here p is the target as a decimal (0.75), H is classes held and A is classes attended. Round x up to the next whole class.

    Classes you can miss

    y = A ÷ p − H

    Round y down. If y is 0 or less, you cannot miss any class without dropping below the target.

    Did you know? CBSE requires at least 75% attendance to appear in Class 10 and 12 board exams. Schools using an ERP like Class ON App can send parents automatic alerts before a student slips below the limit.
